The room is set up with many different areas including a home corner, mark making, sand and water, IT area, and book corner.

There is a carpeted and wet floor area where the children carry out their activities.

The children's learning is planned and provided in line with government guide lines.

The Foundation Stage which is carried on into the reception year at school covers six areas of learning:

• personal and social
• knowledge and understanding of the world
• creative development
• mathematical development
• communication language and literacy
• physical development
