The room is set up with many different areas including a roll play area, mark making, sand and water, IT area, and book corner.

There is a carpeted and wet floor area where the children carry out their activities.

The children's learning is planned and provided in line with government guide lines.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS 2008) covers six areas of learning:

• personal and social
• knowledge and understanding of the world
• creative development
• problem solving reasoning and numeracy
• communication language and literacy
• physical development
